MLB Player Props Today
- Fernando Tatis o1.5 total bases
- Manny Machado o1.5 total bases
- Xander Bogaerts more than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Fernando Tatis o1.5 total bases (-105), DraftKings
Fernando Tatis is off to a slow start to 2023, with a .253 batting average and a career-worst .222 ISO through is first 37 games played. However, his struggles have come primarily against right-handed pitching. Facing southpaws, Tatis owns a .297 batting average, 1.042 OPS, .378 ISO, and a 181 wRC+ – meaning that he has been 81% more productive than the league-average hitter in these situations. Tonight, Tatis gets to face Drew Smyly, who owns a 3.93 FIP against right-handed batters this year. Expect Tatis to have a productive day at the dish.
Manny Machado o1.5 total bases (+105), DraftKings
Similar to many offensive players on the San Diego Padres roster, Manny Machado has been underwhelming to begin the new campaign. Also similar to many of his teammates, the vast majority of his struggles have come against right-handed pitching. Facing southpaws, Machado owns a .918 OPS and a 160 wRC+. Similar to Tatis, Machado is positioned well for a good evening against left-hander Drew Smyly this evening – take the over on his total bases.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Xander Bogaerts more than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs, PrizePicks
Xander Bogaerts enters play on Saturday with a .738 OPS, which is his worst mark since his sophomore campaign in 2014 with the Boston Red Sox. Unlike many of his teammates, Bogaearts has struggled mightily against left-handed pitching so far this year, making his total bases a risky endeavor. However, when combining hits, runs, and RBIs, Bogaerts could find a way to have a productive day at the dish. There is a good chance that Bogaerts will bat with men on base tonight, which gives him RBI potential. One base knock could be enough to get the job done here in that situation.
