MLB Player Props Today
- Yusei Kikuchi u6.5 Strikeouts
- Graham Ashcraft u4.5 Strikeouts
- Bryson Stott Less Than 0.5 Strikeouts
Yusei Kikuchi u6.5 Strikeouts (-136), FanDuel
Yusei Kikuchi owns a 1.82 ERA and a 2.06 FIP across his last seven turns through the rotation, but he has still only managed to eclipse this market number three times in that stretch. On August 8, he went a season-high 7.0 innings against the Cleveland Guardians, but managed only six strikeouts. In two of his last three outings, Kikuchi has generated a swinging strike rate south of 10.0% while allowing a gross contact rate on pitches in the strike zone. During the month of August, Cleveland has struggled mightily against southpaws in terms of run production, but they still own a bottom-10 strikeout rate. According to props.cash, only two left-handed pitchers since June 23 have collected seven or more strikeouts against the Guardians. Take the under here.
Graham Ashcraft u18.5 Outs Recorded (-162), Bet Rivers
Graham Ashcraft has completed at least seven innings of work in each of his last four turns through the rotation. However, he has faced four offenses in that stretch that rank 19th or worse in OPS against right-handed pitching during the month of August. Across the last two weeks, the Arizona Diamondbacks rank 6th in OPS, 21st in ISO, 4th in BB%, and 16th in K% against right-handed pitching. This is likely to be Ashcraft’s most difficult test in over a month. The under has good value in this spot.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Bryson Stott Less Than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
Simply, we cannot say enough good things about Bryson Stott. He went 2-1 for us last weekend in this market and is 2-0 to start the weekend for us once again. Since August 8, Bryson Stott has struck out in only 7.4% of his total plate appearances. On the season, he ranks in the 89th percentile in strikeout rate and the 95th percentile in whiff percentage. Today, he will face Drew Rom, who is making only his second career big league start. Let’s see if Stott can sweep the weekend!
