MLB Player Props Today
- Ryan Pepiot u5.5 Strikeouts
- Yordan Alvarez o1.5 Total Bases
- Jose Ramirez Less Than 0.5 Strikeouts
Ryan Pepiot u5.5 Strikeouts (-164), FanDuel
Ryan Pepiot has excelled in his last four starts, with a 0.86 ERA and 2.83 FIP. However, he has benefitted from a .151 BABIP in that span, suggesting that regression is imminent. Even during his strong four-start run, Pepiot has only eclipsed this market number once. Tonight, he will have to contend with the San Diego Padres, which have the third-lowest strikeout rate of any team in the league against right-handed pitching since August 15. The under is a strong look here.
Yordan Alvarez o1.5 Total Bases (+105), BetMGM
Entering play on Wednesday, Yordan Alvarez has a 1.033 OPS, .316 ISO, and 181 wRC+ against right-handed pitching in 2023. Tonight, Alvarez gets a favorable matchup against Paul Blackburn, who has allowed a .303 batting average to left-handed hitters this year. Blackburn has allowed 16 extra-base hits to left-handed batters this year in only 40.1 innings of work. At plus money, Alvarez has good value in this spot.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Jose Ramirez Less Than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
Jose Ramirez has a reputation as one of the game’s premier power hitters, but he also has some of the best bat-to-ball skills in the big leagues. Ahead of first pitch on Wednesday, Ramirez ranks in the 98th percentile in strikeout rate and the 94th percentile in whiff rate. Trust him to put the ball in play when he steps in the box this afternoon in a favorable matchup against Kyle Harrison.
