MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today: Top Plays for Monday, August 26th
Traditional MLB DFS formats aren’t the only way to profit from daily fantasy baseball. MLB PrizePicks is a great fantasy pick’em site where we can take today’s projections versus theirs and combine two or more baseball predictions for sizeable payouts.
In this space, we’ll explore a few PrizePicks plays for the upcoming MLB slate. This article isn’t the be-all, end-all of great plays or a recommendation for a full ticket; it’s simply a starting place for you to explore thinking about the game within the game. Maybe you want to scatter these plays across entries. Maybe there are only two or three you think are worth playing. Daily fantasy pick’em gives us the flexibility to make only the plays in which we think there is value rather than being forced to create a full lineup while competing against the best DFS players in the industry.
PrizePicks is daily fantasy baseball made simple, and our MLB PrizePicks picks tool makes the process even simpler.

MLB PrizePicks Predictions for Monday, August 26th
- Jose Berrios MORE Than 5.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
- Kyle Gibson MORE Than 4.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
- Michael Toglia MORE Than 0.5 RBI (DEMON)
Jose Berrios MORE Than 5.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
Jose Berrios isn’t a big strikeout pitcher, but the Red Sox’s projected lineup has a 24% K rate against righties, and Berrios can get a lot of volume. Berrios has gone 7 IP in each of his last 3 starts, striking out 20 over that stretch. He’s struck out 6+ in 3 of his last 4 starts. The Jays bullpen is total garbage, so they’re forced to roll out Berrios for a lot of innings. Loving his volume, we should like him for 6+ Ks in this matchup. We have Berrios projected for 5.2 innings. Also, this is the second game of a doubleheader, so the Red Sox could roll out a half-garbage lineup.
Kyle Gibson MORE Than 4.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
Kyle Gibson isn’t a big-time strikeout pitcher, either, and the Padres don’t strike out much at all, but he does have 8.32 K/9 and 4.5 is a really low PrizePicks projection for just about any serviceable pitcher projected for 91 pitches and can go 6-7 IP. We have Gibson projected for 4.3 Ks, so this is a tight squeeze, but the DEMON boost is huge for us here.
Michael Toglia MORE Than 0.5 RBI (DEMON)
Edward Cabrera has a 13% BB rate, which is awesome for Toglia, hitting around the bottom of the heart of the order. He should get up to the plate with base runners pretty often tonight, if not getting two PAs with runners in scoring position. He has a .250 ISO on a 17.6% barrel rate against righties, and Cabrera is allowing an 11.8% barrel rate to lefties, so Toglia has a great shot to drive himself in, alone, with a dong in Coors Field. We have Toglia projected for 0.6 RBI.
All projections referenced are accurate at the time of writing but subject to change.
This is not a great PrizePicks slate, but we do have Coors and a lot of hot weather, so we can attack a lot of hitting spots through our pick’em tool. These are the three DEMONs I’m most likely to sprinkle in, but more total base projections in Coors and heat will be made available throughout the day to pounce on.
