MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today: Top Plays for Sunday, June 23rd
Traditional MLB DFS formats aren’t the only way to profit from daily fantasy baseball. MLB PrizePicks is a great fantasy pick’em site where we can take today’s projections versus theirs and combine two or more baseball predictions for sizeable payouts.
In this space, we’ll explore a few PrizePicks plays for the upcoming MLB slate. This article isn’t the be-all, end-all of great plays or a recommendation for a full ticket; it’s simply a starting place for you to explore thinking about the game within the game. Maybe you want to scatter these plays across entries. Maybe there are only two or three you think are worth playing. Daily fantasy pick’em gives us the flexibility to make only the plays in which we think there is value rather than being forced to create a full lineup while competing against the best DFS players in the industry.
PrizePicks is daily fantasy baseball made simple, and our MLB PrizePicks picks tool makes the process even simpler.

MLB PrizePicks Predictions for Sunday, June 23rd
- Christian Yelich LESS Than 8.5 Fantasy Points
- Michael King MORE Than 6.0 Strikeouts
- Max Fried LESS Than 5.5 Strikeouts
Christian Yelich LESS Than 8.5 Fantasy Points
Michael King is looking really good in our projections. He’s allowed just a .283 wOBA and a .121 ISO since the start of the 2023 season (.247 and .099 to lefties). This season, his barrel rate allowed to lefties is just 6.3%. This is a terrible spot for Christian Yelich, whom we have projected for just 7.9 fantasy points on the day. This was the best hitting play on the board according to our pick ‘em tool when PrizePicks had him projected for 8.0, and it just went up to 8.5 as I was writing this.
Michael King MORE Than 6.0 Strikeouts
Staying in this game, King has a 29.5% K rate dating back to the start of the 2023 season. The Brewers aren’t a great matchup for Ks (22.9% K rate against righties since the start of the 2023 season), but King has a lot of those baked in Ks. King has passed 6 Ks in 4 of his last 8 starts, including starts with 12 and 11. Over this stretch, he’s thrown over 95 pitches in 5 of those starts. This is a strong play for volume to compile Ks, as we have King projected for 6.8 strikeouts on the day.
Max Fried LESS Than 5.5 Strikeouts
Max Fried is a great real life pitcher with one of the longest leashes in baseball, but the strikeouts haven’t been there, and the Yankees don’t strike out very much. Fried has just 8.14 K/9 this season, while the Yankees projected lineup is just striking out 18.6% of the time against lefties. We have Fried projected down at 4.9 Ks on the day.
All projections referenced are accurate at the time of writing but subject to change.
It’s super early, so there’s not much going on in the DEMON streets yet. Hell, PrizePicks is slow in releasing projections in general this morning. Be sure to reference our projections and pick ‘em tool for more plays to use in your contests.
