Saturday’s MLB action begins early this afternoon under the sun in the great state of Ohio, but there is plenty of action throughout the day, giving the betting community plenty of opportunity to get involved on the diamond.
Since we began posting this article, we have had 11 near misses, four cashed tickets, and six parlays that were seemingly dead on arrival – nothing unexpected when consistently betting parlays.
In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 37-25 (59.3%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

MLB Parlay Piece for July 1, 2023
- Seiya Suzuki 2+ Total Bases
- Dansby Swanson 2+ Total Bases
- Chicago Cubs -1.5
Seiya Suzuki 2+ Total Bases (+130)
From June 8 to June 21, Seiya Suzuki posted a .302 batting average and a .755 OPS, indicating that he had finally started seeing the ball well. Across his last three games, Suzuki is hitless in 14 trips to the plate and has only reached base one time. Tonight, he is due for some positive regression to the mean and he has a semi-favorable matchup against Tanner Bibee. During the month of June, Bibee struggled to a 5.04 ERA and a 5.00 FIP and had only one game with a SwStr% in double-digits. Trust Suzuki to have a bounce-back performance this evening.
Dansby Swanson 2+ Total Bases (+120)
Facing right-handed pitching in 2023, Dansby Swanson owns a .270 batting average. Playing at Wrigley Field against right-handed pitching this season, Swanson owns a .303 batting average and a .792 OPS. Tonight, he gets to face the struggling Tanner Bibee, who will also have the wind working in the batter’s favor when this contest gets underway. Swanson has been hot lately, with a .309 batting average and an .868 OPS since June 13 – expect that trend to continue on Saturday.
Chicago Cubs -1.5 (+146)
In 17 turns through the rotation this season, Marcus Stroman has allowed two earned runs or fewer 14 times. His counterpart, Tanner Bibee, has allowed three or more earned runs three times in his last five starts alone. The Chicago Cubs are a difficult team to trust on a regular basis, but they have the better starting pitcher in tonight’s game and arguably a better offense as well. Trust them to get the job done in front of their home fans for the second day in a row.
