MLB Parlay Piece for June 5, 2023

Elly De La Cruz 2+ Total Bases (-120)

If you do not know the name Elly De La Cruz, you would be best served to make yourself familiar immediately. In 38 games at Triple-A to begin the year, he had 12 home runs and a 1.031 OPS. His ISO was an incredulous .335 – and oh dear, he’s only 21 years old. Tonight, De La Cruz faces Tony Gonsolin, who owns a 4.23 FIP against left-handed hitters in 2023. Expect De La Cruz to make an impact for the Cincinnati Reds in his MLB debut.

Mookie Betts 2+ Total Bases (-130)

Mookie Betts has looked more like Mookie Monstah since May 17 – posting a 1.003 OPS and a .333 ISO during that stretch of action. Tonight, Betts gets to face Luke Weaver, who owns a 5.03 FIP, 1.52 WHIP, and .323 opponent batting against right-handed batters in 2023. Betts, who has gone hitless each of the last two games for the Dodgers, is in a great spot to have a massive performance on Tuesday night in an extremely hitter-friendly venue.

Freddie Freeman 3+ total bases (+135)

There is arguably not another hitter in baseball with a more smooth swing than Freddie Freeman. Against right-handed pitching this season, Freeman owns a 34.8% line drive rate, giving him great power to the gaps on a nightly basis. Playing at Great American Ball Park, those line drives to right-center field have an opportunity to find the cheap seats in the bleachers, especially on a night like tonight when the wind is blowing out to the outfield. This is a worthwhile inclusion in this parlay.
