Monday, March 15th - FanDuel Single Game Analysis: LAL @ GS
Is your main slate lineup looking rough? Or did you not get off work in time to make one? Or just looking for a little more action? Don’t worry, FanDuel has you covered with their Single Game format. Monday night’s marquee game is LAL @ GS starting at 10:30 PM ET. You can make a lineup with players from just this game. Below are some options for players to use in the MVP slot and other cheap options that will allow you to fit in the big dogs.
Top MVP Options
LeBron James ($16,000) – LeBron was a disappointment in the Lakers last game against the Pacers on Friday night, finishing with just 36.6 FanDuel points in 34 minutes of action, but easily remains the teams best fantasy option any time they take the court as long as Anthony Davis remains sidelined. We currently have LeBron projected as the highest fantasy scorer in this game but he has some stiff competition for the MVP slot in Steph Curry. Regardless of who you roster in the MVP slot, you will 100% want to make sure you roster the other player in the STAR slot as Curry and LeBron finish this game as the top two fantasy scorers a very high percentage of the time.
Stephen Curry ($14,500) – While Curry had more competition for usage on his team, he was nearly as good of a fantasy producer as LeBron over the first half of the season, averaging just ~ 1 FD point less per game. We currently have Curry projected for nearly 7 FD points less than LeBron in this game, which seems a bit high and could present an opportunity to get Curry at a bit of an ownership discount in the MVP slot. If you’re playing multiple lineups, you’ll want to swap Curry and LeBron in the MVP/STAR slots while mixing up the rest of your lineup.
Top Value Options
James Wiseman ($7,500) – I have high expectations for Wiseman coming out of the All-Star Break as Steve Kerr mentioned he wants to get the rookie more court time over the second half of the season. While Wiseman’s usage was worrisome in the Warriors’ first game after the break, the 23 minutes he logged against the Jazz on Sunday seems more in line with what we can expect moving forward. While his playing time has been a bit limited, Wiseman has been a strong fantasy producer when given the minutes, averaging 1.09 FD points per minute this season. Given a modest minutes projections in the low 20’s, Wiseman pops as one of the strongest point-per-dollar options in this game.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($6,000) – There is absolutely nothing exciting about KCP from a fantasy perspective but he’s projected to play nearly 30 minutes and is priced at the absolute minimum. If you want to roster a more exciting option that is unlikely to see as much court time but is a much stronger per minute fantasy producer, take a look at Talen-Horton Tucker who could see some additional run with Alex Caruso sidelined.
