Super Massive (+395) vs Flash Wolves (-548)
Players to Target
-Maple (DK $8,600) – There isn’t a ton of value in this game so Maple is the safe selection as the most likely player to go off and have a huge fantasy day. I don’t expect a high volume of kills of either team so I don’t even like any of the SM players for a contrarian play. Maple is the stud that you can count on but that’s about it.
G2 E-Sports (+128) vs Counter Logic Gaming (-156)
Players to Target
-Darshan (DK $6,000) – This is one of the few occasions in the sport where DraftKings is a little contrary to the Vegas odds and I’m putting more stock in those odds and what we’ve seen thus far than the blind faith in G2 based on their domestic performance this Spring. Darshan has held his own against some of the best top laners in the world and only Looper has more assists through 8 games in the tournament. I love the matchup against Kikis.
- *Aphromoo (DK $4,900) – Kill participation and assists is what I look for in a support for my lineup. Aphromoo leads MSI supports in both of those categories. G2’s greatest weakness has been their bottom lane and it looks like the perfect storm for a big game from Aphromoo who looks to be ridiculously underpriced.
-Trick (DK $6,200) – I’ve been as underwhelmed as anyone by G2’s performance but it doesn’t mean that have no fanatasy value. While I won’t be baited into stacking them as I did earlier in the tournament, picking up Trick feels like a good option. He leads all MSI junglers in kill participation and this may finally be the game the talent from G2 shines through despite the flaws they have shown throughout the tournament. Depending on other results, this may be G2’s last chance at making it into the next round.
Royal Never Give Up (-104) vs SK Telecom T1 (-116)
Players to Target
-mlxg (DK $5,100) – If you thought CLG was underpriced on DraftKings, take a look at these RNG salaries. Sure, it’s unfair to base all analysis on the past 8 games for SKT without considering the past 8 weeks of stellar performance from the same team but RNG seems to have turned a corner. Mlxg looks like one of the best junglers in the world right now and his 8.8 KDA is double that of the next best not to mention the fact that he’s leading the position in both kills and assists.
-wuxx (DK $6,300) – Either I’m getting baited into a misconception that SKT is the weaker team or I’m building an insanely strong lineup. I’m going with the latter and taking another carry on the RNG team with wuxx. He continues to impress and the presence of Mata beside him cannot be overstated.
