NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, November 27: Lakers at Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers have been the best team in the league this season currently sitting atop the Western Conference with a 15-2 record. The New Orleans Pelicans have been a bit of a letdown so far this season after Zion Williamson highly anticipated NBA debut was postponed before the season even began. The Pelicans are currently 6-11 but they have been ravished by injuries so far this season and actually come into this game the healthiest they’ve been all season long.

Not only have the Lakers been the best team in the league but they have been one of the best teams to bet as well, going 10-7 ATS. Most of that success has come at home, though. On the road they’re merely 4-4 ATS so far. While they have been great, the Lakers have kept many games closer than they should have while on the road, including two recent games. In Oklahoma City they only won by three points, and in Memphis, it was just a one-point victory. They are on their fourth and final leg of a four-game road trip, making it their fourth game played in six days.

As I alluded to earlier, the Pelicans have had a rough start to the season with injuries, but they haven’t been a terrible team to bet on. New Orleans bettors haven’t been profitably but it hasn’t been atrocious, either. They’re 8-9 ATS including 5-3 ATS at home and 3-1 ATS as a home dog. The Pelicans are an underrated and talented team when they are healthy and the public is more bearish on this team than they should be. They come into this game with several days rest after a rough three-game road stretch in which they played the Jazz and the Clippers (two of the best defensive teams in the league) on a back-to-back. With a bit of rest and increasing health, this game sets up well for the Pelicans at home.

My NBA Betting Pick: New Orleans Pelicans +6 (-105) at PointsBet

If you couldn’t tell already, I really love the Pelicans in this game. The public’s view on them is too low after dealing with a handful of injuries early in the season. Additionally, this is a revenge game for multiple players on both sides of the game and I don’t think it’s that far fetched for the Pelicans to pull off the outright upset. Take the Pelicans here with the points, and if you’re feeling a little frisky, take the money line.

NBA Betting Picks for Today — Player Props

Brandon Ingram: Over 23.5 Points – As I mentioned earlier, Ingram is playing in a revenge game here against the Lakers and will likely be chucking the ball early and often. On the season, he is averaging over 26 points a game, and while this might be a tough game, I think he goes off. In his last five games, he has failed to get 24 points onlye once, and has only fallen short of that mark three times for the season.
