NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have another medium-sized slate ahead of us on Tuesday. The 7-game slate tips off at 7:30 PM ET, with every game on the schedule on the main slate and our standard national TV doubleheader on TNT.

One game starts us off in the 7:30 PM ET window, with the Knicks and 76ers squaring off in Madison Square Garden (Knicks -6, 208). OG Anunoby is possibly going to make his return from injury and is listed as questionable. With the lowest total on the slate and a boatload of potentially unresolved injury situations heading into lock, this is the game I’m least interested in.

At 8:00 PM ET, we get two games, with Washington visiting Memphis (Wizards -2.5, 219) and Indiana traveling to Oklahoma City (OKC -6, 241). Richaun Holmes is out again for the Wizards, while the Grizzlies continue their ever-changing rotation with Vince Williams and Jaren Jackson out and Jordan Goodwin, John Konchar, and Lamar Stevens questionable. Jalen Williams is questionable for the Thunder in their game against Indiana, while the Pacers continue to list some of their fringe rotation players as questionable.

At 8:30 PM ET, we see the Rockets travel within Texas to face the Spurs in San Antonio (Houston -3, 222) for their first full game since Alperen Sengun had his presumably season-ending injury. Keldon Johnson is questionable for the Spurs, while it looks like Victor Wembanyama will play in this back-to-back game for San Antonio.

A half-hour later at 9:00 PM ET, we see the Celtics face the Jazz in Utah (Celtics -7, 230.5) on the second night of a back-to-back. Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, and Jaylen Brown are all listed out for the Celtics, making the remaining Celtics likely popular pieces against a Jazz defense allowing the most points per game over each team’s last 10 games.

The 10:00 PM ET window features the Timberwolves in Los Angeles against the Clippers (Clippers -6.5, 215) and the Bucks in Sacramento to take on the Kings (Bucks -1, 236.5). The MIN/LAC game is a giant question mark, with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Kyle Anderson all questionable. While in the MIL/SAC game, Keegan Murray is questionable for the Kings.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

Top NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

High Flyers

Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:

Fred VanVleet
FanDuel: $8,000
DraftKings: $7,900

The Rockets will be playing their first full game since Sengun went down with his injury, and they get a good matchup against a Spurs team that plays at the 3rd-fastest pace on the season and allows the 6th-most points. VanVleet is averaging 20.0 points per game in March, his highest monthly average this season, and 9.6 assists per game against just 1.6 turnovers per game for the month. VanVleet averages 41.9 DK points per 36 minutes with Sengun off the court this season, compared to his season average of 37.8 DK points per 36 minutes.

Jayson Tatum
FanDuel: $10,000
DraftKings: $9,700

With Brown, Porzingis, and Horford all out tonight, Tatum should see even more production as the centerpiece of the Celtics offense. Over every team’s last 10 games, the Jazz have the worst defensive rating in the league and allow the most points per game to opponents, so there might not be a better matchup for Boston. With Brown, Porzingis, and Horford off the court this season, Tatum has played 271 minutes and averaged 1.49 DK points per minute (compared 1.36 DK points per minute for the season).

Site Specialists

Just like a good 3-and-D small forward, sometimes a player fits the specific need we have on the specific site we’re playing on. These are the guys that stand out on one particular site:
