Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Friday, October 25th
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. Noto’s Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
It’s never good when your favorite player on the slate busts and ruins what could have been a really good lineup. That’s the fun part about DFS — it’s never our fault for choosing the player. It’s their fault for not playing up to our expectations. I had a really good squad that featured Jayson Tatum, Bilal Coulibaly, Julian Champagnie, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Unfortunately, Victor Wembanyama was 5-for-18 from the field and committed 4 turnovers. I still ended up min-cashing, but a big outing from him could have led to a much better night.
We now turn our attention to Friday night’s 10-game slate. In the first few slates of the season, I tried to cover all of the roster changes and go over each team’s win expectations for the season. Now that we are familiar with these teams, I am going to keep the team previews concise and focus more on injuries and who stands out from a DFS perspective. The “News Updates” section of the article hasn’t gotten much work yet, but have no fear. It’s only a matter of time before we are constantly sifting through injury news that impacts the slate. To constantly keep tabs on rotations, I always have the NBA starting lineups page up.
Happy Friday everyone! Let’s dive into the games.

Team Previews
Philadelphia 76ers (at TOR)
Joel Embiid and Paul George both missed the opener and have already been ruled out. This is a better game environment for fantasy production, as the Raptors haven’t been concerned with playing defense since trading Pascal Siakam halfway through last season. The Sixers should be a popular team to target, as several players pop in projections. Tyrese Maxey had a 34% usage rate and took 31 shots in the opener, Caleb Martin started in the second half over KJ Martin, Andre Drummond played 25 minutes despite the blowout and being in foul trouble, and Guerschon Yabuselehad a solid game off the bench. The intriguing bounce-back candidate is Kelly Oubre, who could really benefit from a soft matchup against Toronto.
