What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. On FanDuel, I want as much exposure to the Wolves as I can get. They will be without 3 of their best players and have an elite matchup against the Jazz. On DraftKings, I want to be overweight on the NOP/PHX game. I know it’s a back-to-back for both teams, but it’s still the best game environment on the slate.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I don’t make a lot of lineups, but I’m seriously considering making a CLE/BOS stack with one of them. On DK specifically, I think I’m going to play one of Jalen Smith or Zach Collins in every lineup. On FD, you’re at the mercy of the Lakers injury news. They play the last game on the slate, but thankfully you also have Minnesota to work with to make back-loading lineups easier.
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry GPPs. I’m planning to lean into the popular cheap value on FanDuel (Timberwolves) and DraftKings (Pelicans) while cycling through some of the more expensive options. I also like the way a NYK/MEM game stack comes together, as both teams have implied team totals of at least 120 points in a game with a tight spread.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and it’s shocking how there are almost no teams, despite the large slate, that I’m willing to cross off my board. With a ton of value, I’ll try to get overweight on the stars projecting for low ownership, like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Trae Young, and Nikola Jokic.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
