NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, November 22

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Zach LaVine
Dean78904: Zach LaVine
tcsmith031: Zach LaVine
TJ Zwarych: Zach LaVine

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jaylen BrownTrae Young is my favorite tournament play on the board, but I doubt he’s going to be contrarian. For this answer, I’ll roll with Brown. The Celtics have one of the top matchups on the board (Wizards) and have the highest implied team total (126). The field seems scared off by the large spread, but I’m hoping the Wizards can keep this within striking distance since the game is in Washington. Brown has an elite usage rate (30%) and has topped 45 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games. He has upside for 50+ fantasy points at what should be around 10% ownership.

Dean78904: Clint Capela – Yep, again with Bulls and Hawks. The game environment is just too good. Specific to Capela’s game, no team has given up more points in the paint than the Bulls, and that is where Capela eats, as 84.7% of his points come from inside. As for how many minutes will be delegated his way, well, that’s the tough part. The floor is around 20, but he has a chance to get all the up to 28 if things crack his way. By all means, consider playing Onyeka Okongwu as a pivot — just don’t play them together. The nightly guessing game of “how does Atlanta split up their 48 center minutes?” is trickier than a Rubik’s Cube and less fun than Monopoly, but I just like the upside here if you land on the right side of it.

tcsmith031: Tyrese Haliburton – Something doesn’t look quite right with Hali this season, but he still has the potential to push for 40 regulation minutes in an exploitable matchup. The Bucks’ defense has taken a hit since they swapped Jrue Holiday for Damian Lillard, and we saw Haliburton gash them repeatedly across their series of matchups a season ago. Correlating Haliburton with Giannis Antetokounmpo is a fun way to get a mini game stack here.

TJ Zwarych: Coby White – Sticking with ATL/CHI game, White is another player going overlooked after struggling in his past few games. However, he has shown time and time again throughout the season that he has a monster ceiling, as he’s already gone for more than 50 DK points multiple times. Everyone wants to play Zach LaVine, and rightfully so, but White has shown similar upside, is cheaper, and is projecting for a third of the ownership.
