NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, December 2

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Nikola Vucevic
headChopper: Dennis Schroder
Dean78904: Tyler Herro (FD) / Dennis Schroder (DK)
ncorfield8k: Julius Randle (FD) / Dennis Schroder (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. For a 4-game slate, it’s looking like we could have a ton of value. This is going to concentrate ownership around a few expensive options. My plan of attack is to be overweight on Anthony Edwards, who finally seems to be hitting his stride. He has averaged 50 fantasy points over his last 4 games with a 32% usage rate during that span.

headChopper: Small-field single-entry, and 3-to-5-entry max GPPs are my preferred contests. I plan to target Brooklyn value while keeping a close eye on how depleted the Celtics are. I won’t restrict my lineups to a set number of players from one team if the value opens up enough, which seems likely for the Celtics (we’ll wait for all the news later).

Dean78904: I will mainly focus on single-entry contests. We’re in a holding pattern as we wait for injury reports that can be potentially slate-breaking (I’m looking at you, Boston, New Orleans, and Brooklyn), so I figured I could just throw in some interesting stats regarding teams/players on the slate here. The NBA’s slowest-paced team (Brooklyn) takes on the league’s fastest-paced team (Chicago). No team in the NBA allows more points in the paint than the Bulls. 85.9% of Nic Claxton‘s points come from the paint. The Pelicans give up the 2nd-most opponent points in the paint. 86.6% of Capela’s points come from inside the paint.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – This is a smaller slate, and all games start within 30 minutes of each other. It is important to pay attention to news close to lock, of course, but there’s a good chance we’ll know all the starting lineups and who is playing before lock. If that’s the case, pOWN% should be largely efficient, and the best way to get different will be with roster construction. This is a slate where one great way to differentiate is by playing large game stacks and hoping that one game separates in terms of pace, staying competitive, etc.
