What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. We are waiting on so many injuries that I expect a lot of value to open up throughout the night. If possible, I’d love to anchor my lineup with Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard, and Bobby Portis. Jokic will naturally give me a different build than most in small-field and single-entry contests.
headChopper: I am playing a single lineup, primarily in single-entry contests, but I’ll also enter it in a few large-field tournaments. However, my construction will be focused on winning a small-field, single-entry contest. I plan to embrace some of the Milwaukee chalk but will differentiate my lineup by playing Victor Wembanyama, who looks to have a lower pOWN% than I expected.
Dean78904: It is really hard to have a definitive plan this early when Damian Lillard, Anthony Edwards, P.J. Washington, Tyler Herro, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Stephen Curry are all currently questionable. Assuming they both play, I love the idea of rostering both Curry and Dame in a GSW/MIL game stack. Speaking of game stacks, I don’t make a lot of lineups, but ideally, I’ll have one built around SAC/DAL, as the game environment is excellent. We currently have Victor Wembanyama’s pOWN% in the single digits. If that holds, I will be well over the field.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – As usual at this point in the season, the biggest edge is in paying attention and adjusting to news as it comes. That means reacting not just to injury news but also to changes in starting lineups. I plan to save some value plays for later games but won’t be afraid to play some of the studs who start at lock.
