What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. Despite a solid matchup against the Nuggets at home, the Bulls aren’t getting a lot of projected ownership. With Coby White out, they are one of my favorite backcourts to target (especially since Denver is better equipped to shut down opposing frontcourts). I want to be overweight on Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine, and Josh Giddey.
headChopper: With 10 games on the DraftKings slate and a short gap between opening tip and the final game, it’s a great night for multi-entry. However, due to time constraints and doing a show, I’ll stick to 1 lineup and enter it in single-entry contests. On a slate this size, late scratches and news adjustments are inevitable, so the only player locked in for me is Nikola Jokic. I’ll leave as many roster spots open as possible to adjust for breaking news and hope to capitalize on late edges while others may have used up their roster spots early.
Dean78904: My main focus is single-entry and smaller-field GPPs. We have a pile of games on layaway (10 DK / 12 FD), so we’ll likely have slate-shifting news possibly dropping multiple times as we close in on lock. As a result, I absolutely want to be attentive, but I’ll also be sure to be selective. On DK, this absolutely feels like a 2-center night, as the position is loaded. I expect to have at least one Maverick in every lineup I make.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With double-digit games on both sites, there is likely to be a lot of news coming. I’ll maximize late swap opportunities by largely avoiding the games that lock at 7:00 PM ET. I’ll have my eye on any injury or lineup updates after lock and be ready to swap in an instant if any value opens up.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
