What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: We don’t have to worry about late swap with all 5 games starting at the same time, so it’s a good slate for multi-entry GPPs. The value spots are obvious with teams like OKC and New Orleans battling injuries, and I like the idea of paying up for a couple of pieces from the Cavs in tournaments. Cleveland gets the best matchup on the board against a Bulls team running at the league’s fastest pace, and all 4 of the Cavs’ stars are averaging at least 1.17 DK FP/minute this season. Nikola Vucevic looks like a solid run-back on the Chicago side who should go overlooked with Alperen Sengun projecting well in the same price range.

headChopper: I’m playing large-field GPPs and entering 150 lineups. I like that all of the games start at the same time. Looking at projected ownership, I plan to be well underweight on Fred VanVleet and Nic Claxton. On the flip side, I like James Harden in a revenge spot at low projected ownership and Domantas Sabonis hopefully dominating the Spurs on the inside, also at low projected ownership.

Dean78904: My focus will be on single-entry type of contests. Center is absolutely loaded, so I expect to have one in my UTIL spot in every lineup. Alperen Sengun, Nic Claxton, Ivaca Zubac, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, etc. — I want to play them all. The one center who I think I’ll be light on, a bold fade if you will, is Victor Wembanyama. Devin Vassell being back isn’t a big deal, but it shouldn’t help, and the Kings have been the least-blocked team in the league.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – This is a unique slate in that every game locks at the same time, so you can’t find an edge in late swap. That makes this an ideal slate to use SimLabs to make lineups because it will balance projection vs. ownership for you. I will lean into lineups that have Rockets in them and take advantage of Fred VanVleet being out. I will also have a subset of lineups that lock in Ivica Zubac.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
