NBA DFS Showdown Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Game 5 of the NBA Finals

DRAFTKINGS

Who are your three favorite Captains, ranked in order?

Notorious: Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Luka Doncic
squirrelpatrol: Jrue Holiday, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum
headChopper: Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Kyrie Irving
eys819: Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown
kmurray03: Jrue Holiday, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry contests. On DraftKings, I will be using Maxi Kleber as my punt in lineups with Luka Doncic at CPT. I also plan to build some balanced squads with either Derrick White or Jrue Holiday at CPT. On FanDuel, I plan to be overweight on Dereck Lively. Based on the rotations for the last couple of games, I don’t expect Daniel Gafford to play a big role in Game 5.

squirrelpatrol: I’ll play the largest-field contests, adjusting for some of the playing time changes we saw from Dallas in Game 4 but still assuming a big Boston win. I’ll likely end up under the field on Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving with the series back in Boston, particularly with Luka’s higher price.

headChopper: I will run 20 lineups. I have been locking in Luka Doncic in the top spot all series, and in Game 4, it finally paid dividends. Luka at CPT did NOT hit the optimal, but it was still highly profitable and just a few points away from hitting the nuts. With the series headed back to Boston though, I’m scrapping that, as this feels like a Boston blowout to me. I don’t think Kristaps Porzingis sees the court, so I am building with that in mind. I have a short list of Celtics that I will run in CPT and STAR, and I will make sure they are in every lineup.

eys819: Large Field – I want to load up on Celtics, as I think they close out the series with a statement win. I will be overweight on all of Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Al Horford. The price tag and his production in the series makes it tougher to get to Jayson Tatum. On the Dallas side, I will be overweight on Dereck Lively and Maxi Kleber, as their playing time seems to be trending in the right direction.

kmurray03: Large Field – I will be using SimLabs to gain an edge, and I will be making sure I have more Jrue HolidayCPT than his projected ownership.

What changes from Game 4 do you think Dallas can carry over to Game 5? And how will it affect your DFS lineups?
