NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, April 4
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Bam Adebayo
Bobby Gomes: Bam Adebayo
TJ Zwarych: Bam Adebayo
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll play single-entry GPPs. The Heat are impossible to avoid on such a small slate in a matchup with the Wizards. It’s just a matter of being diligent with your exposures. I’ll likely set a rule to cap exposure to 3-4 Miami players per lineup, especially with optimizers jamming as many as 6 Heat players in there at a time. It’s fairly unlikely that 5-6 Heat players all meet or exceed salary-based expectations in the same game, and implementing that rule helps you to get exposure to some lower-owned spots elsewhere on a 3-game slate.
Bobby Gomes: I will make 1-3 lineups for large-field tournaments and start by loading up on the Spurs/Nuggets game that boasts a close spread (SAS -2.5) with an implied total of 242.5. I will be stacking this game different ways, as there is upside and value on both sides. I will be jamming in Nikola Jokic, Victor Wembanyama, and Jamal Murray, plucking the value to fill in the gaps. It is only a 3-game slate, and this game should be a close track meet to focus on, as the other games either have a low total or severe blowout potential.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests. I want to keep an eye on the Washington injury news. I’ll be playing some Miami regardless, and if the many Wizards that are questionable are ruled in, I’ll likely avoid that team entirely. However, if they’re ruled out and we get some value from the Wizards, I’ll likely turn my lineup into a game stack.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
