What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry again. If much of the field is going to try to jam in a max-priced Giannis Antetokounmpo on the heels of his monster game, I’ll roll the dice with an underweight approach. The cheap value as of now is suspect, and a balanced build looks viable as a result. James Harden offers a nice ceiling at a considerable discount from Giannis, especially if Kawhi Leonard is out.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests on both sites. As of now, the Clippers are a team I will be overweight on, but I like getting different by mixing in a few guys that will be lower owned such as Spencer Dinwiddie, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, and Quentin Grimes. I also like the idea of game stacking the MEM/DET game with it having the the highest total and closest spread by quite a bit.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments. It’s a relatively strong late swap slate for a 4-gamer, as the two most impactful Q tags (Tyler Herro and Kawhi Leonard) come from the later games. I’ll lean into players in the later games to take advantage of potential value opening up, as the current value at most positions is not particularly strong.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just play one lineup in single-entry contests. I plan to load up on the Clippers even more than the field. I love game stacking on small slates, and the Clippers are my team of choice. I’ll play a lot of them even if Kawhi plays, but if he’s out, I’ll likely put Harden, Powell, Zubac, and Bogdanovic all in the same lineup, potentially even adding Kris Dunn and/or Derrick Jones to the team as well on DraftKings.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
