What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry GPPs this evening. Guys like Ayo Dosunmu, Jarace Walker, and Nick Richards are projecting to be among the most popular players on the slate as of early this afternoon, so we’re looking at some highly questionable chalk value. While I’m always terrified of coming in underweight on Nikola Jokic, I don’t mind going with a more balanced build if it helps me avoid some of those potential landmine value plays. I also like the idea of stacking the CHI/IND game, which has a healthy 242.5 total and a tight spread.

Krayton: I will be playing both single-entry contests as well as 20-max contests on both sites. I will be heavily invested in the value plays for the Pacers, and then I will use spend-up options like Jamal Murray, James Harden, Cade Cunningham, and Ryan Rollins (if Giannis sits out tonight).

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I plan to heavily target the Pacers as salary savers while mixing and matching my spends. Cade Cunningham is my favorite expensive option, but I also want to target Josh Giddey. I’ll use Ryan Rollins if Giannis Antetokounmpo sits the second half of the back-to-back.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
