NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, April 12
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Tyrese Maxey
Krayton: Tyrese Maxey
TJ Zwarych: Tyrese Maxey
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry GPPs. We’re overloaded with cheap plays, so I think the way to beat the field is by getting different with some of the value. The Nets, unfortunately, are a team to target. They’ve run a tight 7-man rotation in back-to-back games, and we could see that again with Nolan Traore now listed as doubtful. Malachi Smith, Ben Saraf, E.J. Liddell, Jalen Wilson, and Tyson Etienne are all affordable options who could play a boatload of minutes, and none of them are projected to attract a lot of ownership. I expect the Brooklyn value to get overlooked by the field, and that’s a spot I’d like to target.
Krayton: I will be playing just one lineup in single-entry contests tonight. With all of the cheap value available to us, I want to find a couple of mid-tier plays that most certainly go overlooked with it being very easy to fit in top guys like Tyrese Maxey, LaMelo Ball, and Bam Adebayo. I like getting high-upside guys like Nickeil Alexander-Walker or V.J. Edgecombe, which will get me different than the field from the beginning. They both project very well and have sneaky upside.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just play one lineup because of how chaotic the slate is, and I’ll likely play at least three of Bam Adebayo, LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George. I’m tempted to roll out all four of them because we have the value to make it work, but I’ll probably prioritize Ousmane Dieng at a slightly cheaper price tag over one of that group.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
