NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, April 26

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

tcsmith031: Scottie Barnes
Krayton: Scottie Barnes
TJ Zwarych: Scottie Barnes

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll play the usual mix of single-entry and 20-max tournaments. With Austin Reaves and Kevin Durant both questionable in the final game of the day, I’d like to keep as many roster spots open as possible to maximize flexibility. Luke Kennard, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and Reed Sheppard are all viable options even if their questionable teammates play, but their value will rise considerably if Reaves and/or Durant sit once again. Game-stacking LAL/HOU should be fairly contrarian, especially with so much value popping up for teams starting earlier like TOR and POR.

Krayton: I will be playing just one lineup on both sites tonight in single-entry and smaller-field contests. Even if playing multiple lineups, I would be eliminating Donovan Mitchell and James Harden from my pool, and I don’t intend on targeting anyone on Cleveland. Robert Williams, Scoot Henderson, and Collin Murray-Boyles are the value pieces I will be building around, and I will be allowing myself opportunities to make changes as the news updates trickle in throughout the day by leaving multiple spots available for the last games.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and it’ll be important to keep an eye on the news all day long. Victor Wembanyama, Kevin Durant, Kelly Oubre, and Austin Reaves are all listed as questionable, and there’s a good chance we don’t get any of that news before lock (except for maybe Wemby). I’ll hit the X button on the entirety of the Cavaliers team so that I have a lot of flexibility after the first game.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Epignosis
Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
