What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry contests. We could have an incredible amount of value on this slate depending on what happens with some of the pending news. Portland, Brooklyn, and Denver immediately stand out as excellent sources of value, while we can add the Lakers to the list if Luka Doncic, LeBron James, or both wind up sitting out. I’m comfortable with the more expensive Blazers, but I’d like to fade fringier value plays like Sidy Cissoko and Javonte Cooke if we can find better cheap stuff elsewhere.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and a few 3-max and 5-max contests. With Portland being extremely shorthanded, I will be locking in both Caleb Love and Shaedon Sharpe. I will look to mix in high-upside plays like Luka Doncic, who is only projected for single-digit ownership as of early this afternoon. Amen Thompson is another guy who looks great and could go a little overlooked with Alperen Sengun and Kevin Durant both expected to be popular.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests. I’ll likely keep a fairly balanced build with Kevin Durant or Alperen Sengun as my most expensive player. Jamal Murray is currently listed as questionable; if he’s in, I may prioritize him in addition to one of them. However, if he’s out, I’ll load up on Jalen Pickett and the other Nuggets alongside my Rockets and Blazers.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
