What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll join TJ in the 150-max streets on what looks like a pretty fun slate. I love pairing Giannis Antetokounmpo with Trae Young in what looks like the best game environment, but that certainly won’t be a unique approach. One pivot is to play Moussa Diabate over a chalkier Jusuf Nurkic. They are likely to come close to splitting the Hornets’ center minutes with Mark Williams out, yet Nurkic will be quite a bit more popular assuming he draws the start.

Krayton: This is a great slate for playing multiple lineups. Although I’m typically a single-entry type of player, I like the upside for GPPs with the cheap value available. I am going underweight on Giannis and looking to pay up for lower-owned guys like Trae Young, OG Anunoby, and Deni Avdija.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I plan to stack up the ATL/MIL game as many ways as possible while being underweight on Giannis Antetokounmpo and overweight on all the ancillary pieces. Giannis has been a consistent source of 45-55 fantasy points nearly every single game, but he has rarely flashed a high-end ceiling for his price. He’s still a phenomenal play for cash games, but I’ll be underweight in tournaments.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
