What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I’ll just play a few 20-max GPPs. This looks like another slate with some questionable cheap value, while the Magic are once again popping a bit in projections as they continue to play without Paolo Banchero. In a tough matchup against Houston, I plan to come in well under the field on Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane at their expensive salaries. I think there are solid salary savers in this game between Jabari Smith, Tristan da Silva, and Reed Sheppard, however. I’d also like to get as much exposure to the CHI/UTA game as possible in GPPs.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests today. I will be looking to get at least one POR player in each of my lineups. Shaedon Sharpe has been leading the Trailblazers in usage at 31%, and Jrue Holiday and Deni Avdija are both players I want exposure to. I also want to be overweight on ORL with both Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs out.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing two different lineups in various single-entry GPPs, and I want to ignore the early games in one of them and load up on ORL/HOU in the other one. There is so much value on both sides of that game that I either want to go all in or avoid it. Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs have already been ruled out by Orlando, while Houston value such as Jabari Smith, Steven Adams, and Reed Sheppard are underpriced.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
