NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, April 23

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Anthony Edwards
headChopper: Anthony Edwards
tcsmith031: Anthony Edwards

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I am leaning toward a balanced build. While I would love to play Nikola Jokic, it’s extremely difficult to build a quality lineup around him. Instead, I like the idea of starting lineups with the likes of Jalen Brunson, Scottie Barnes, and Anthony Edwards. After Jakob Poeltl only played 9 minutes in Game 2, I want to be overweight on both Collin Murray-Boyles and Sandro Mamukelashvili.

headChopper: I prefer small-field GPPs with limited entries so I can hand-build 1 lineup. All 3 games are within 3 points on the spread, so they all project to be close. I am more likely to focus on the NY/ATL game because I think it has a strong offensive environment at cheaper salaries than DEN/MIN. Cleveland and Toronto will mostly be left out in the cold for me, aside from maybe a James Harden sighting in my lineups. I tend to favor players going back home for Game 3 of these series, and guys who looked bad in the first 2 road games often bounce back once they return home.

tcsmith031: I’ll play single-entry and 20-max GPPs tonight. I am largely fading Nikola Jokic. There isn’t a ton of cheap value to make it easy to jam him in at his salaries, and it’s not like a matchup against Rudy Gobert is a cakewalk to begin with. He’s a scary fade, but non-Jokic builds look a lot more appealing. I’d rather take the savings to build around Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Scottie Barnes.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
