What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. This is such a fun slate. My biggest stand of the slate is to lock in Derik Queen. His minutes have been all over the place, but he has scored at least 40 fantasy points in each of the last 5 games where he’s played at least 30 minutes. I also want to be overweight on Malik Monk and Tim Hardaway Jr.

headChopper: I am playing limited entries in smaller-field GPPs mainly, but I’ll sprinkle in a few multi-entry small-field GPPs as well. I’m going to be over the field on the Rockets. With just 4 games on the slate, I’m not worried about max-player rules from a single team – that doesn’t matter to me on a slate this size. I’ll have a big chunk of my lineups built with multiple Rockets.

Dean78904: I only make a few main lineups and mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. There are 4 teams (Celtics, Bucks, Clippers, and Rockets) in the bottom 7 in pace, and they are playing each other, so the plan is to make a small slate even smaller. I’ll be over the field on DEN/SAC and POR/NOP, while mostly, if not entirely, ignoring LAC/HOU. It won’t be easy, but I’m going to try my best to get to Nikola Jokic in single-entry GPPs.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
