What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. This is a great slate to utilize late swap, as none of the games start at the same time. My plan will largely shift throughout the day. If my players in the first game or two don’t play well, I am going to pivot away from the chalk in the later games. If my early players perform well, I’m more likely to eat the chalk in the later games.
headChopper: I will be playing large-field GPPs and entering around 100 lineups. I think Christmas Day games bring out the best in superstar players, and I want to spread some of that high-dollar exposure around. I’ll play it fairly chalky with salary savers, but I’ll get different by mixing up the high-end players across lineups. Having the extra lineups also allows me to build some mid-range constructions where I don’t have to rely on a super-cheap player at all.
Dean78904: I only make a few main lineups and mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type contests. Evan Mobley has been upgraded to questionable, and FD was caught sleeping, as they have his salary at $3,500. Cleveland plays in the first game of the slate, so we’ll know if Mobley is playing or not. If Mobley is in and you are playing on FD, the lock button is your friend. As a general rule, if I’m debating between two players, I’ll go with the guy who is playing the later game, as this slate is so long, and there are multiple players who are questionable. If the dominoes fall a certain way late, you’re going to want lineup versatility.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
