NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 21

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Deni Avdija
headChopper: Jaylen Brown
ncorfield8k: LeBron James

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I like to play small-field tournaments because you don’t have to be perfect to finish at the top of contests. My plan tonight is to load up on the HOU/LAL game. Houston has to view this as a must-win game, as it will be tough to win 4 of the next 5 games in the series, especially if Luka Doncic ends up being back. I like Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengun, and Kevin Durant (if he can suit up). For the Lakers, they are missing Doncic and Austin Reaves, which has opened up a ton of value in Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, Deandre Ayton, and Rui Hachimura.

headChopper: I prefer 1 lineup on each site in smaller fields with limited entries in GPPs. I have not sat down and built the actual lineups yet, but I have a good suspicion that I will be fading some of the chalk at the top of the pOWN%. I do not see myself playing Deni Avdija despite a good Game 1 – that is expensive chalk that could bust. I will limit my Lakers role players to maybe one per lineup. Rui Hachimura, Luke Kennard, Deandre Ayton, and Marcus Smart are all getting a ton of projected ownership early, and there is no way I build with multiple pieces of those guys in my lineup. I will be overweight on Houston and Boston.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – 2 of the 3 games have double-digit spreads, so it’s a strong slate for game stacking. I won’t necessarily just focus on stacking the game with the closest spread (HOU/LAL), though. The other 2 games are less likely to stay close but have higher potential for big scores if the game stays close.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
