What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. My plan of attack is to be overweight on the Cavaliers (preferably Ty Jerome, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley) and then to lock in one of the superstars on the Magic (Paolo Banchero or Franz Wagner).
headChopper: Preferably just 1 lineup in single-entry, small-field GPPs, and I’ll sprinkle that same lineup into some flagship GPPs—just in case it hits. I think this slate is wide open. I want some of that Cleveland value, and I’ll pair it with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Paolo Banchero and then some Brooklyn pieces.
tcsmith031: It’ll be the usual mix of single-entry and 20-max contests for me. The Nets are resting several regulars again, which makes them an appealing, albeit uncomfortable, source of cheap value. I’m planning to set a max-2 rule for the cheap Brooklyn pieces, including Reece Beekman, Maxwell Lewis, Tosan Evbuomwan, and Dariq Whitehead, so as not to put all of my eggs into one basket. We still have 11 Nets projected to log minutes, so there are some potential landmines here.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
