NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, January 28
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Stephen Curry
headChopper: Giannis Antetokounmpo
tcsmith031: Giannis Antetokounmpo
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: You know I love me some small-field tournaments. While most of the field is going to spend up on Giannis Antetokounmpo, my plan of attack is to save a little with Stephen Curry and build more of a balanced lineup. The two have equally favorable matchups, and both teams are expected to be without two key players. I like the savings Curry provides.
headChopper: For single-entry contests with small fields on a small slate, I like the narrative of Damian Lillard returning to Portland, especially since he’s playing great basketball right now. I’ll be overweight on him in my lineup. Additionally, I’m leaning toward game-scripting the Houston Rockets as a team that eases off their veterans after last night’s road game in Boston, giving some younger bench players extra run.
tcsmith031: I’ll play the usual mix of single-entry and 20-entry-max contests. It looks like we’ll have a couple of chalky value pieces from Philly, Justin Edwards and Ricky Council, thanks to the absence of Paul George. I don’t mind getting to either of them, but I’m currently planning to take an underweight stance on both. I’ll roll the dice with some of the admittedly uncertain values pieces from Golden State (e.g. Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, Quinten Post) and Milwaukee (e.g. Taurean Prince, Brook Lopez) in some lineups instead of plunging for the popular Sixers.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
