What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I want to be overweight on two areas in particular — the ATL/UTA game and Austin Reaves. The first is for obvious reasons, as this should be a fast-paced game between two of the worst defensive teams in the league. As far as Reaves, he’s been tremendous since the D’Angelo Russell trade, averaging nearly 50 fantasy points in his last 6 games.

headChopper: Single-entry, smaller-field GPPs – Several players are currently showing 35%+ pOWN% in LineupHQ, which is high for a 7-game slate, but I believe it’s good chalk worth embracing in single entry. My differentiation will come in the frontcourt, targeting a low-owned player with the potential for a massive game at their price. Right now, Rudy Gobert and Bam Adebayo are strong candidates to fill that role.

tcsmith031: I’ll stick with 20-max contests. There’s already a lot of cheap value, and we could see more open up depending on injury news. Some of the cheapies currently popping as nice values (e.g., Isaiah Collier, Vit Krejci, Steven Adams) feel awfully thin. Collier and Krejci are weak enough per-minute producers that I don’t hate the idea of crossing them out of my player pool entirely, while Adams offers a very limited ceiling in his limited minutes. I’d rather roll the dice on other affordable options – like Cam Whitmore and Jaden Hardy – who aren’t projected to be chalky.
