NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 17

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Julius Randle
headChopper: Julius Randle
ncorfield8k: Julius Randle

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jalen Duren – We currently have him projected for around 25% ownership on both sites, which isn’t super contrarian for a 6-game slate. However, I expect that number to come down throughout the day. I expect Kel’el Ware, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Rudy Gobert to all soak up some ownership at center. Additionally, anyone who targeted Duren the last time he played the Wizards will struggle to click his name again. I love the matchup, and I love the fact that he has topped 45 fantasy points in 7 of his last 13 games.

headChopper: Jalen Duren – The only question is the minutes, and that’s solely because of the blowout risk. Otherwise, the cushiest matchup in the NBA right now is playing center against the Wizards. We all know Bam Adebayo went for over 100 DK points against them recently, but then Wendell Carter Jr. followed that up with 47 DK points, and after him, Neemias Queta went for 48. There is a long list of mediocre fantasy producers crushing the paint against this version of the Wizards, and Duren might be better than all of them.

ncorfield8k: Kon Knueppel—The Hornets are still in playoff contention, and a win against the Heat would be helpful. I am expecting big minutes from the starters, and the Hornets have the 2nd-highest implied team total on the slate. The Heat have played at the fastest pace in the NBA over the last 10 games while ranking 9th in defensive rating. It is a strong individual matchup for Knueppel—the 6th-best for a Versatile Forward in our Defense vs. Archetype tool.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
