NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, May 5
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Cade Cunningham
headChopper: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
ncorfield8k: Chet Holmgren
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I played the blowout angle last night, but I picked the wrong game to stack. I don’t think that should be a problem tonight, as the game that I want to stack (CLE/DET) has a 3.5-point spread, while the game I want to fade (for the most part) has a 15.5-point spread. I’ll mix in some of the cheap value plays from the Thunder, but my plan of attack is to be overweight on the first game, especially on Detroit’s side.
headChopper: I prefer small-field, limited-entry GPPs tonight. I am basically taking a stand to fade all Lakers and load up on Thunder players, with bits and pieces of the CLE/DET game mixed in. I want to have some OKC exposure to a player or two who could also see some 4th-quarter run if the game turns into a total blowout.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – I’ll be leaning into the unknowns of Game 1s. I particularly like trying to guess who may be more involved than expected in the CLE/DET game. I’m going to particularly lean into playing a lot of James Harden, who could have higher usage with Ausar Thompson on Donovan Mitchell. I also like Jaylon Tyson, whose size might get him strong minutes against the Pistons.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
