NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, October 22
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Karl-Anthony Towns
headChopper: Jaylen Brown
Stevietpfl: Jayson Tatum
tcsmith031: Karl-Anthony Towns
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: In daily sports like NBA, I usually play 1 lineup per site and enter it into small-field and single-entry tournaments. My strategy on opening night is to be overweight on the Knicks (specifically Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, and OG Anunoby) and overweight on Anthony Edwards.
headChopper: I’ll play 20 lineups in the large GPPs on DraftKings and probably get to 100 lineups on FanDuel. With only 2 games, I throw a lot of typical rules out the window. It becomes about finding a player to go overweight on and hoping he crushes. Right now, I think that might be Rudy Gobert for me.

Stevietpfl: For NBA, I typically play 1 main lineup a night. For smaller slates like this, I will build 5-10 lineups and lower my overall volume. I’m excited the NBA is back, but I’ll wait for Wednesday’s full slate to play a normal bankroll. I will take shots on value plays projecting for lower ownership and be underweight on some of the more chalky salary relief plays.
tcsmith031: I typically prefer rolling the dice in large-field, multi-entry contests on smaller slates like this. Ownership is likely going to congregate around some fragile values, with guys like Miles McBride and Rui Hachimura projected to pull significant ownership. I’ll shift some exposure to some of the similarly-priced players with lower pOWN% and hope the dicey chalk doesn’t quite get there. Sam Hauser and Jaden McDaniels are a couple of the cheapies to which I’ll be pivoting.
