What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll play a few single-entry GPPs. I’m fully prepared for this to burn me, but I’m not planning on playing Luka Doncic in any of those lineups. He’s fully priced at $12,900 on DraftKings, and he really hasn’t shown a ton of ceiling with LeBron James and Austin Reaves both in the lineup. On a full slate with plenty of other pay-up options, I’ll let the field chase the Luka revenge game and hope he underwhelms relative to salary-based expectations.
headChopper: We already have big news, and this part of the year stinks—so just 1 lineup in small fields is enough for me. With the Celtics news breaking that a lot of their guys are out, I want to get a few of the remaining Celtics players in my lineup. Since salary isn’t an issue, I may even go double-stud with Luka Doncic and another elite player. Hopefully, that ends up being a unique build.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – This is a wild slate with so much value, big narratives, and a lot of questions still out there. Just paying attention to starting lineups and injury news can provide a large edge on slates like this, so I’ll avoid any questionable value chalk in early games and swap as necessary.
