NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, May 15

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
squirrelpatrol: Jayson Tatum
headChopper: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Derrick Jones – Despite averaging over 30 minutes per game in this series and seeing a small uptick in usage over his season average, nobody wants to play DJJ. He’s still extremely cheap, and he’s coming off of his best game of the series, scoring 30 fantasy points in 27 minutes of action. The Mavericks need his defense, and it seems like the Thunder are more than fine giving him open looks, as he has taken at least 10 shots in each of the last 3 games.

squirrelpatrol: Payton Pritchard – In the first 2 games of this series, that Boston won by 25 points and then Cleveland won by 24 points, Pritchard combined for 29 points on 22 shots. In the last 2 games, that Boston won by 13 points and 7 points, Pritchard combined for 16 points on 9 shots. If this game gets out of hand, Pritchard could be a beneficiary on offense.

headChopper: Luke Kornet – In this BOS/CLE series, Kornet has had 2 bad games and 2 good games for DFS purposes, and that randomness is the definition of a GPP type of player. I think there will be some extra run in store for this second wave of Boston bench players. A massive spread and a solid opportunity for a blowout should get them not only extra 4th-quarter run but maybe a slight bump in the 3rd quarter also.
