NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, March 16

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Across a 397-minute sample, Tyrese Maxey is boasting a ridiculous 37.1% usage rate with Joel Embiid, De’Anthony Melton, and Tobias Harris all off the floor. With Harris questionable to play tonight against Charlotte, this looks like a pretty good spot to chase a Maxey ceiling game, as he continues to push for 40 minutes on a nightly basis.

Krayton: With Tyus Jones projected to be out tonight, Jordan Poole sees a 7.4% usage bump. Regardless of whether he comes off the bench or is in the starting lineup, he is one of my favorite plays on the Washington side to pair with guys like DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu.

TastefulTides: With Coby White and Zach LaVine off the court in a 494-minute sample, DeMar DeRozan has the biggest usage differential of 5.2%, bringing it up to a very solid 30.75%.

TJ Zwarych: Larry Nance has been starting the second half for the Pelicans much of the time, significantly limiting the upside of Jonas Valanciunas. Tonight, the Pelicans are without Nance, and JV gets to face off against another big in Deandre Ayton who isn’t likely to run him off the court.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
