NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, November 11

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

tcsmith031: Kyle Lowry hasn’t generated any usage at all since joining the Heat last season, but we can expect him to be heavily involved tonight in Atlanta. In a very small sample, Lowry’s usage has jumped by 9.4% with Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro off the floor this season. That usage is still only at 20.5%, but his 11 shot attempts without Herro in the last game were easily a season high. He also came to within an assist of a triple-double in 35 minutes.

krayton: Jaylen Brown is leading the Celtics in usage this season at 29.2%, which is just slightly higher than Jayson Tatum (29%). Brown stands out as a tremendous value on FanDuel priced at just $7,500. He is averaging 1.05 FD points per minute while averaging 22.3 points per game.

TastefulTides: According to CourtIQ, in 433 minutes with Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler off the court last season, Bam Adebayo had a 28% usage rate and 21% assist rate. Options are limited on this slate, and we have seen Bam put up monster games this season. They are going to need his size in this matchup as well, so he should be playing all the minutes he can handle.

TJ Zwarych: In addition to Miami being without Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, they also have the largest pace upgrade on the slate. Even without two of their stars, they still project for 2.5 points more than their season average. I’ll be heavily overweight on the whole team.

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
