NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 2

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Donovan Mitchell – Even though he’s facing his former team, Mitchell is set to garner less than 5% ownership on both sites. I love a good revenge narrative every now and then, and Mitchell is a player that seems to hold grudges. I like his chances of having a big game at his old stomping grounds. It doesn’t hurt that the Jazz have been one of the best matchups for fantasy production this season (bottom 5 in 3-point percentage allowed, 3-point attempts allowed, defensive rating, and points allowed per game).

squirrelpatrol: Anthony Davis – Giannis has the better projection, but AD may have an even better matchup against Toronto. Yes, Giannis is facing the Wizards, but over each team’s last 10 games, the Raptors have allowed more points, rebounds, and assists per game than the Wizards. The LAL/TOR game has the highest total on the slate, and with the value available, it’s possible to fit in both AD and another high-priced player (even Giannis).

headChopper: Rudy Gobert – I am very interested in Gobert in GPPs (and only GPPs) tonight because there is a chance he can absolutely dominate this new-look Rockets lineup without Sengun in there. If the Rockets choose to play small, Gobert could rack up 20+ rebounds. If they choose to play Jock Landale more minutes, Gobert should feast on him. There is a chance he gets run off the court, so I will limit my exposure to large-field contests.

Stevietpfl: Sandro Mamukelashvili – When given the opportunities, Sandro is a fantastic fantasy option. Because of his minutes, he is a boom/bust option, but with three Spurs out tonight, I like his chances to play 20+ minutes. In 260 minutes this season, he’s averaging 1.1 fantasy points per minute. He played 25 minutes on Sunday against the Warriors and finished with 29 fantasy points. I expect the Spurs value options to be popular, but I’m hoping Sandro flies under the radar.
