NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 12

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – On slates like this where there are plenty of values to choose from, I like to anchor my lineups with a superstar that offers both a high floor and a high ceiling. SGA fits that mold. He has been extremely consistent all season and draws an elite matchup at home against the Pacers, who are 2nd in pace and 25th in defensive rating. SGA has scored at least 47 fantasy points in 11 of his last 12 games.

squirrelpatrol: Victor Wembanyama – I’m a bit surprised to see Wembanyama listed as available to play with a back-to-back tonight, but if he remains off the injury report, I’ll be very interested in getting over the field on a low-owned Wembanyama. The Spurs rookie put up 27 points and 14 rebounds against Golden State last night with “only” 3 blocks plus steals. Even in under 30 minutes, he is a threat to go over 60 fantasy points (or more), and I’d like to see who Houston plans to guard him with now that Alperen Sengun is out of the lineup.

headChopper: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – The price is massive, but SGA is getting early ownership projections well below what I would play him at in GPPs. His numbers are impeccable, and the Pacers are the nut matchup in NBA DFS this season. They play fast, have a flimsy defense, and are good enough to keep games close.

Stevietpfl: Damian Lillard – One of my favorite matchups to target on the season is the Sacramento Kings’ 3-point defense. They’re allowing opponents to make 39.8% of 3-point attempts this season, which is the highest in the NBA. Lillard has at least 50 fantasy points in 3 of his last 5 games and should continue his scoring in this matchup and with Khris Middleton out.
