NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 19

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Zion Williamson

squirrelpatrol: Jalen Green

headChopper: Fred VanVleet

Stevietpfl: Fred VanVleet

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Victor Wembanyama – His price point combined with the fact that there’s not a ton of value on the slate should lead to low ownership. He has been held under 45 fantasy points in 3 of his last 5 games but is coming off an outing of 76 fantasy points the other night. He is incredible on a per-minute basis and should see around 32 minutes tonight against the Mavericks, who are 9th in pace, 27th in rebounding rate, and 21st in defensive rating.

squirrelpatrol: Nikola Jokic – Jokic might be facing an excellent defensive center tonight (Rudy Gobert), but he can score well in any matchup, putting up 26.0 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists per game against Minnesota in their playoff series last season. With Gobert questionable, along with back-up center Naz Reid, it’s possible Jokic will be facing a team with Luka Garza as their only center. I don’t mind the idea of starting my night overweight on Jokic with at least one other player from the DEN/MIN game in my lineup and swapping down from Jokic to Gobert if Gobert is in, using the savings to upgrade the other spot on my roster.

headChopper: Victor Wembanyama – Early projected ownership has Wemby coming in at less than 10% on both sites. He can be a slate-breaker when he is going well, as evidenced by his 79 FD points last game. He played 36 minutes in that game. Despite thoughts that the Spurs might ease off him late in the season, he has played 31+ minutes in 8 straight games. Last month, he dropped 26/9/5 with 4 stocks against this Dallas team in only 27 minutes.

Stevietpfl: Luka Doncic – With a smaller 5-game slate, I want to be overweight on the player with the highest raw points ceiling. Doncic has scored at least 70 (DK) and 60 (FD) fantasy points in 8 of his last 10 games. San Antonio continues to allow the most fantasy points per game to opposing guards. This is a massive floor/ceiling spot, and with all the value options on this slate, Luka will be my highest-owned player.
