NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, March 26
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Rui Hachimura – As of right now, Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Taurean Prince are all projecting for high ownership. Despite being projected for 30 minutes and being in the exact same matchup, Hachimura is projecting for only 15% ownership on FanDuel and 3% ownership on DraftKings. In 9 games that LeBron has missed this season, Hachimura has averaged 27.6 fantasy points.
tcsmith031: Luka Doncic – The lack of punt value could make it tough to get to Luka, and more ownership is likely to congregate around cheaper spends like Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis. I’d still like to get over the field on Luka if I can. Getting him at sub-10% pOWN% on a 4-game slate is rare, and the DAL/SAC game has major playoff implications, with the 2 teams currently tied in the standings.
headChopper: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Speaking of game environments, this is a good one. Yes, both teams can play solid defense, but both these teams also have a lot to play for right now. I highly doubt that with both teams basically at full health, there is enough separation here for a blowout either way. So, there is potential for SGA to get a full workload in a big game, and he is coming in at early pOWN% numbers of sub 7-8% on each site.
Stevietpfl: Zion Williamson – Williamson has played 11 games in March, and he’s averaging 1.35 fantasy points per minute. In that same span with Brandon Ingram off the floor, Williamson is averaging 1.34 fantasy points per minute, but he has seen a 2.9% usage increase. On the season without Ingram on the floor, Williamson is averaging 1.39 fantasy points per minute. The Thunder are a great team, but they’re one of the worst teams in the NBA at rebounding. On a small slate, Williamson can be a difference maker.
