NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, October 24

Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

Notorious: While we shouldn’t put too much stock into preseason numbers, that doesn’t mean we should ignore them completely. There are four players that really stood out in terms of their preseason production — D’Angelo Russell (1.34 DK / 1.36 FD points per minute), Austin Reaves (1.26 DK / 1.25 FD points per minute), Zeke Nnaji (1.12 DK / 1.21 FD points per minute), and Jonathan Kuminga (1.29 DK / 1.22 FD points per minute).

squirrelpatrol: Jonathan Kuminga was 2nd in the NBA in scoring in the preseason (behind Desmond Bane) at 21.8 points per game in 27 minutes per game. The 21-year-old Warriors forward shot 54.7% from the field and 45.8% on 3s, with 4.8 three-point attempts per game.

headChopper: All four of these teams fall between 112 and 117 implied team totals. All four teams are in play for team stacks or game stacks, with very little separation between them.

stevietpfl: Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and LeBron James played together 117 minutes last season. LeBron (1.5) averaged the most fantasy points per minute, follow by Davis (1.46), Russell (.86), and Reaves (.75). With LeBron and Davis on the floor together, Russell saw the biggest decrease in fantasy points per minute.

TheLuuch: Opening Night is always fun. My two biggest takeaways are that two of the Phoenix stars were a bit limited in practice recently and also how darn good Jonathan Kuminga was in the preseason. He’s been a project player (and has been very good at times in the past). It looks like he’s close to putting it all together. He should have a bit of a bigger role than last season, and he could also get blowout run if the GSW/PHX game gets out of hand.
