Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than Squirrelpatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, Squirrelpatrol has accumulated 90+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2. Should we roster the chalk picks? How off-the-board should we get in large-field tournaments? Squirrel answers all of these questions and more below!
A busy week of NBA basketball continues on Wednesday with a 7-game slate that has projected lineups dominated by two teams but still enough injury questions to shake things up. The Washington Wizards are on the slate, which means we should be strongly considering playing their opponent, the Orlando Magic. The Wizards allow the second-most points per game in the league and the most rebounds and assists per game. Memphis is also showing up heavily in lineups facing a Utah team that allows the sixth-most points per game in the NBA and has the fifth-worst defensive rating in the league.
There are injury situations littered throughout the slate, with LeBron holding his standard Questionable tag for the Lakers, Kevin Durant and Grayson Allen Questionable for the Suns, Jordan Clarkson and Kelly Olynyk Questionable for the Jazz, and Keegan Murray listed as Questionable in the late game for the Kings. The biggest injury questions are in Denver, however, where Aaron Gordon, Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray are all listed as Questionable for the Nuggets. If all three players are available, then it may be a situation we can ignore, however if only one (or zero) are available, it may be a situation we want to monitor. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Paolo Banchero
FanDuel: $7,700
DraftKings: $8,200
Tonight, the Magic face a Wizards team that allows the most rebounds and assists per game in the NBA and the second-most points, and Banchero leads the active Magic in all three categories. Banchero’s second-year numbers look similar to last year (19.8 ppg compared to 20.0 ppg last season, 6.5 rpg compared to 6.9 rpg last season), but his efficiency has improved significantly, raising his FG% from 42.7% to 48.8% and his 3P% from 29.8% to 43.6%. The Wizards have been giving up big fantasy scores all season and Banchero is a player I plan to own heavily on both sites.
