Hittin' The Nuts: Squirrelpatrol's NBA Lineup Advice for Tuesday, October 24th

Want to hit the nuts and take down 1st place in these massive contests posted by FanDuel and DraftKings? Who better to walk you through their favorite NBA DFS picks than Squirrelpatrol! Undoubtedly one of the best DFS players in the game today, Squirrelpatrol has accumulated 90+ Live Final seats, won the FanDuel 2021 World Fantasy Basketball Championship for $500,000, and most recently, took down the NFL Milly Maker in Week 2. Should we roster the chalk picks? How off-the-board should we get in large-field tournaments? Squirrel answers all of these questions and more below!
We made it – after 4 months and 12 days, we’re back for real NBA action with a two-game TNT slate starting at 7:30 PM ET. If you’re used to the other DFS sports but not as familiar with basketball, buckle up. In my opinion, there is no sport that fits DFS as well as the nonstop action of basketball, and (for better or worse) there is no sport where research and working on your lineups pays off as much as NBA. We’ve already got some injury situations to deal with, as it looks like both Draymond Green and Bradley Beal will miss tonight’s action after appearing to be in just 24 hours ago. Let’s sort through the two games and figure out what it all means for our DFS lineups.

High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Nikola Jokic
FanDuel: $11,500
DraftKings: $10,000

A lot has changed this NBA offseason, but some things have stayed the same: I’m picking the NBA Finals MVP as my first building block. Jokic’s production should be the same with a relatively stable offseason for the NBA champs, but his price has actually changed. Jokic finished the regular season last year at $12,000 on FD and $11,600 on DK, and now we’re getting him for $11,500 on FD and $10,000 on DK. I’ll play the first few weeks of the NBA season fairly chalky, and I won’t worry about ownership numbers on the Nuggets big man.
