NBA DFS Picks Today (12/2): DraftKings & FanDuel Top Plays, Sleepers
There are 10 games tonight on both FanDuel and DraftKings, which is far more exciting than what we’re used to getting on Saturdays. The Miami Heat are without Bam Adebayo, facing off against the Indiana Pacers in the best possible matchup you can have in fantasy basketball. They’ll likely be quite highly owned on both sites tonight, so it’ll be important to find some ways to pivot in tournaments.

PF/C – Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,300)
Despite being priced at $11,300 and not being as strong of a fantasy producer this year with Damian Lillard on the team, Giannis still projects as the highest RGV tonight on DraftKings. His median projection is just shy of 60 fantasy points and will be playing in the fastest-paced game on the slate against the Hawks. While the Miami Heat will be fairly chalky tonight, Giannis has the highest upside of any player on the slate, and he’s not even projecting for overly high ownership. He’s currently expected to have less than 15% of the field calling his number on DraftKings, making him a strong play in all facets.
Top NBA DFS FanDuel Lineup Optimizer Value
SF/PF – Jimmy Butler ($8,600)
While Jimmy is also a very strong play on DraftKings, he stands out even more on FanDuel. His $500 discount will come in very useful tonight and should be worth the high projected ownership. There’s always a case to fade someone who is expected to be in over half the lineups on a 10-game slate; however, it’s equally fine to get overweight and different elsewhere. The matchup may not be quite as fast-paced as expected if Tyrese Haliburton were to miss for the Pacers, but it’s hard to imagine Jimmy not eclipsing at least 40 fantasy points tonight, which is all you need for his discounted price tag on FanDuel.
NBA DFS Sleepers
PG – Trae Young ($9,900 FanDuel, $10,300 DraftKings)
Trae has seen a big price bump on both sites, lowering his projected ownership to less than 3% tonight on both FanDuel and DraftKings. The Bucks vs. Hawks game is my favorite to target on the entire slate, and I’ll be doing whatever I can to mix and match various stack combinations of Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. He’s projected for just shy of 50 fantasy points tonight but has shown a massive ceiling recently, going over 60 fantasy points 3 times in November, including over 70 fantasy points last game. This should be the fastest game on the slate with two teams who struggle defensively, and Damian Lillard has been an opponent to target defensively throughout his entire career.
C – Alperen Sengun ($8,800)
Sengun is projecting for nearly identical sub-10% ownership on both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight with the same price tag on both sites. Sengun’s game log against the Lakers looks a bit deceiving, as there haven’t been any games in two tries with massive fantasy point outputs, but Sengun’s fantasy points per minute numbers against Los Angeles have been fantastic throughout his career. Their first game ended in a blowout, while in their second, Sengun was still able to put up 45 fantasy points in only 30 minutes where he struggled with foul trouble in a close game. Sengun has always had incredibly high upside in any given matchup and is one of the most fun players to target as a late-night hammer in GPPs.
