NBA DFS Picks Today (11/11): DraftKings & FanDuel Top Plays, Sleepers

trae-young-800x480

Despite Saturday Night’s NBA DFS slate only being 4 games on DraftKings and 3 on FanDuel, the Miami Heat have broken things wide open, as they’ve already announced Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler will both miss the game. This creates a plethora of value on both sites. However, it’ll be necessary to get creative in the lineup optimizer to ensure we are getting the top plays while finding ways to get unique.

On DraftKings, we’re still awaiting Damian Lillard news as the site included the earlier game between the Bucks and the Magic. On FanDuel we get an extra hour to tinker but one fewer game, making players like Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell and Steph Curry more appealing.

PF/C – Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,000)

Full disclosure, Giannis is actually the #4 best RGv in LineupHQ, but he’s worth writing up for DraftKings specifically, as he isn’t on the slate on FanDuel. Despite it only being a 4-game slate on DraftKings, there’s still a ton of value thanks to the Miami Heat. Due to this, it’s actually not tough to pay up for Giannis at all. He still falls behind Bam Adebayo as my primary spend up. However, it’s easy enough to get both, and that’ll be my priority in tournaments.

Giannis struggled to start the season but exploded against the Nets for 62 DK points before going absolutely berserk in a game without Damian Lillard versus the Pacers en route to 71 fantasy points on DraftKings. While there’s a chance Lillard will be back tonight, I think Giannis is a great play regardless. Should Dame sit once again, I’ll use the lineup optimizer to lock in Giannis Antetokounmpo in every single lineup I play.

Top NBA DFS FanDuel Lineup Optimizer Value

C – Bam Adebayo ($8,800 FD, $8,500 DK)

Adebayo is the top player on both sites but stands especially tall on FanDuel, where there’s no Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Heat will be without both Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler tonight in a wonderful matchup against the Hawks. Bam hasn’t shown a huge ceiling in past years, but that hasn’t been the case this season. He’s gone over 50 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games, including a 70+ FDP outburst and now receives the added benefit of being without Herro and Butler.

With both Butler and Herro off the court last season, Bam Adebayo had a 28% usage rate, and more impressively, a 21% assist rate alongside the usage. It would be a great spot for Bam regardless of the matchup, but the Heat even have the largest pace bump on the entire slate. Fire up Bam. I’ll have him in every single lineup.

NBA DFS Sleepers

SG/SF – Josh Richardson ($4,300 FD, $4,800 DK)

While Duncan Robinson and Kyle Lowry are popping in projections alongside Bam Adebayo, they’re also picking up incredibly high levels of projected ownership in LineupHQ. One player who should see additional usage, playmaking duties, and minutes is Josh Richardson. He’s picking up near-appropriate projections on FanDuel, where he’s cheaper and has both SG and SF eligibility, but I still want to get well overweight on the field.

On DraftKings, where he’s slightly priced up and only can be played at shooting guard, he’s currently projecting for single-digit ownership. If that’s the case, he’s by far my favorite tournament salary saver on the slate. Josh Richardson has only eclipsed 20 fantasy points once this season, but this is the best spot he’s been in to produce yet.

PG – Trae Young ($9,500 FD, $9,300 DK)

We rightfully want to load up on Miami players tonight in a fantastic matchup without two of their top three players. However, it makes sense to run it back with Hawks players, especially on a small slate. One of my favorites to do so is Jalen Johnson, but I also want to pair him with Trae Young and turn this into a game stack.

Young is currently projecting for 10-15% ownership on both sites, and I’ll use the lineup optimizer to ensure I’m significantly overweight to those numbers in tournaments tonight, especially on FanDuel, where Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t available. Young makes a terrific secondary spend up with Bam Adebayo. He’s shown upside as well as consistency, scoring at least 44 fantasy points in four straight games and has even flashed 60+ fantasy point upside. I love pairing Young with the Heat tonight.
